Psych

Finally after months of busy Sundays and bad timing Psych Games was finally a go. These games took root from watching tonnes of running man. There were many difficulties trying to find a time that suited as many people as possible and trying to book the church to use. Also as I thought booking it too early meant there would be straddlers like adults and their children. It gave me a little more time to setup but it cut around 20 minutes off our starting time.

Starting was a little rocky. I had originally only invited a few people just as a trial and so I wouldn't need to explain things to too many people. However there were some people still left who wanted to there but had no idea what was happening. The games was something that everyone who was there was suppose to join in so that if anything was embarrassing was done that least everyone had to be involved. Trying to include them was difficult because they didn't know it be 2 hours and there were those who had to leave in half hour to an hour so had to try spread them out on teams. Eventually it worked out however three of the original invited people were out getting lunch ... but I couldn't wait any longer to start.

The teams were randomized which was interesting. Some people suggested team swaps but the point of the randomizing was so people would work with new people. Each team had to come up with a captain and a team name. The names ended being Two Becca, Team Draw on Your Face, and Team Manda. You'll find out why one team was called Draw on Your Face later.

There were more bumps in the road as originally the games were designed for 9 to 12 people to play, however with the additional people there were 15 people not including those that had gone to get lunch. This made it difficult to run all in games so those had to be cut down. First game was Photo Jump which was quite the success. Thing is I couldn't get the photos to show up on the projector ... so hate using Macs ... think I'm the only person to crash a Mac twice in a row. Second game was Buzz Chat (aka Alarm Talk). This ended up going forever as there were just too many people. However it was really fun so I just let everyone play.

Chicken Fight and Ping Pong Hole in One (Beer Pong with a Paddle) weren't great. Chicken Fight was too tiring. Ping Pong took too long. Also the fact the lunch turned up. Took them a whole hour and by then everyone was starving so they took a food break. Bit confused what to do with the food break but before long we started back up again. Next was All in Dodgeball which was fun. I think last survivor was Michelle ... there one team which had a large number of surviving players but this made the other two team wipe them out. A game suggestion by Jason was Palm Blitz. This was quite a weird versus game but it was fun to watch people trying to dodge attackers hands.

Blind Man Catch was a game I created myself. This consisted of one person blindfolded trying to catch beanbags thrown to them. This turned out to be a great spectator game. How good is it watching a blindfolded person pelted with beanbags?!? However there was a bit too much pelting and some beanbags were sidelined. Well I did sew them myself and they were one of my first projects so they were bound to end up that way. Last game was suppose to be a mini running man elimination game with bracelets instead of back nametags but by this point people were tired. However everyone ended up volunteering to play Team Stretch. Everyone was trying to stretch their legs as far as possible on Friday for some reason so everyone thought of this. Ended up fun and sweet. However I did try to measure out the length and instead metal cut myself on the measuring tape.

Because people left early some people ended up escaping punishment which was Face Drawing. Winning team drew on last team. There were people who refused which wasn't much fun but there were also people who were good sport. Hopefully everyone had fun and I'll see to doing another one later in the year.

Update

Well I've been busy so I haven't posted ... okay not a complete lie, I've been busy but I still have time to play games and watch anime. So yeah thought I'd just post the game I've been playing at the moment ... this moment meaning the past sixteen hours that I've owned this game :P.

Loved the first Patapon. Couldn't get over it. Can't believe I almost missed out on this game because I didn't preorder and there wasn't such a big hype for this game other than me. I finished the first one in a week or so and tried to get everything so hopefully this sequel will entertain me for awhile. Also got the following which was actually the game I was planning on playing today ... but Pata Pata Pata Pon XD.

Moon Lit Night

Haven't written a blog entry in awhile. I've been playing games so figures but I did end up finishing three games in the last week. Just replaying some parts of the games but pretty bored. Thought I'd do some posting because there's a red moon out at this time from the bushfire smoke. Not that it's out of some dread feeling but just thought it was a change to the usual so I thought I might as well do a little change by writing in my blog XD. The bushfire's getting pretty close so hopefully everyone's safe.

Anyhow I'm going to go through a bit of my week so bear with me.

Last Saturday I had a brood of hatchlings from last last Monday's 'mother' huntsman. I probably would of left them alone if they hadn't built a tangle of webs which I walked into after waking up. Yes baby huntsmans make webs to catch prey not like adult huntsmans. Firstly I didn't realize there was a infestation until later in the day when I continued to have solitary spiders crawling around. There was about thirty plus around my window area where the mother had come in and about a dozen where my light fixture was. Tried a few ways to kill them but was unsuccessful. In the end it came to bug spray. Pretty much killed them all. Also gave me a nice high XD.

Sunday was a bit disappointing seeing how it was like the quad birthday time so we should of had some sort of celebration lunch or something ... Maybe there was something after I left but oh well.

Monday I had to meet with Centrelink person about Working for the Dole so that was a hassle and just means I'm so much a bum now that they're soon going to force me to work.

Tuesday had a friend come over and play games so that wasn't boring. Didn't stay long though. So got pretty bored after.

Wednesday was more of a weird thing happen other than an actual event. It's always weird when people get off at a intersection with me and I wonder where they are going. It's like are they going home, to work, or just shopping. But most of the time they always going off in different directions. Anyways was going to a meeting at church, got off the tram, and four other people also came off. The surprising thing was all five of us made our way in the same direction and side of the road. None of us were going to the same place because it was a residential area and everyone was walking in a single line. So five separate destinations. I was curious to see who was going to break the line first. Unfortunately up the road was my church. So I was first to break off. Dang.

That's probably the last weird thing that happened during my week. Anyways Happy Valentines Day to all of yous. Even if you don't believe in corporate holidays. You know who I'm talking about.

The New meets the Old

Okay this post might be a little boring but what the heck its my blog. I didn't know this but apparently people still make games for the NES. If you don't know what that is it is the Nintendo console that is older than me ... coincidentally I'm twenty three on tomorrow so that makes the Australia Nintendo Entertainment System roughly twenty four. The interesting thing is that one of the new games that some geek who can't get over the NES made was ... *drum roll* ...

'D+Pad Hero'.

Great I go and get Guitar Hero: World Tour and they go and release something I could of just played on my own NES ><. Just joking around. There's some interesting list of songs you can find here. So anyways here's a screenshot from the game.

If you have an emulator you can download the game and have a go. I'm just going to go back to playing World Tour.

Blasting

Well it's been awhile since I last blogged so I thought I'd do a quickie ... maybe longer if I am bothered.

Just "cleaned" my room a bit because people coming over. When people come over it means I have to actually do the annual work of cleaning my room. I usually just shove stuff to one corner but I to tend to throw that odd empty bottle of juice out (if you don't know what this is referring to be very afraid) and sort through my pile of game boxes. It sometimes ends up quite clean. But just wait a day and its back to its previous mess. That's why I don't bother cleaning it usually.
Guitar Hero - World Tour is great and it has a drum which is quite the new concept other than DK Bongos ... anyhow the only problem is where to put that giant box? My cousins moved out so no ones using the guest room so I thought while I was cleaning I'd move it there. The moment I leave the box, my mum happens to need the room and makes a fuss on why I put the box there in her way (mothers ...) ... So I move it an inch outside the room and supposedly its in a better place now. I have a lot of trouble with boxes from new computer case boxes to gaming console boxes. A majority of my room is box space if you look carefully. Anyways lately most of it has thankfully moved to the garage so my rooms abit more free ... to get messy.

Ok getting long but I guess this is what I get for not posting for awhile.

Beached again. I know. No I didn't get sunburnt. The sun was basically gone but just in case I used some sunscreen. Weirdest stuff I've ever used though. This stuff seriously looked and smelled like hairgel. For a minute or so I debated whether someone had replaced the sunscreen with hairgel or not and whether I was going to dare put this stuff on me. My friend laughed at me and told me not to blame him this time for getting sunburnt (yes its the same guy as last time). As soon as I used it I realized it wasn't hairgel because it rubbed away (try rubbing hairgel away ...). So I swam while my friend waded abit then went back on shore to sunbake in the ever dying sun. It was pretty cool watching the sunset and coincidentally a fish jumped in front of the sun just as it set XD (where's my camera when I need it ><). Even though I was swimming by myself overall it was relaxing and great experience.

Bunch of forty degree days coming along so people slip slop slap or suffer the consequences ><.

i don't wanna grow up

I'm always getting random stuff here and there and also get a boatload of YouTube stuff so I was thinking of posting something about Obama but here's something I thought was probably more interesting than the government of the US.

And if you don't get the title then you don't know me enough XD. Actually it's just a t-shirt that I own that has the below image.

I have a few t-shirts from the site where I get them from so I'll link it for those who are interested XD.

It's Funny and True

I like webcomics and some are quite funny so I've decided to post some of them. Some might be old and most of them will be about games (figures) so might be hard to understood. The thing is you probably should play the game first to understand the joke but guess this ones still funny.

This comic is from Fable II on Xbox360 (probably released on PC at a later date)

Maybe not a used one but you can find condoms buried around in Fable II ... anyways there's a link to the site below XD. I'll probably post these once in awhile so it eats up blog space XD.

Enjoy.
