Seeing the Sea Life

So yeah part of my assessment was to go to places that ran programs for children so I picked the aquarium as one of the places to go to. Actually was somewhat voted by my company - Mikey, as he hadn't been to the Melbourne Aquarium before. Shocking right? By the way didn't know when it happened but apparently it's known as Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium. Didn't know when that started. So we both had something to do there. I was to get some info for my assessment and Mikey wanted to do some sketching.

Turned up early as possible but the line was still out the door. We could of got tickets online for a small discount but we were able to grab some vouchers from Fed Square which gave much more a saving but we had to buy it at the front door so was worth the wait. Walking in they took photo of us which was weird because they didn't tell us what it was for.

Originally when I thought of going to the aquarium I thought it would be the same thing but it wasn't. They have quite a few new things including the star attraction ... the "Mega Croc". Didn't think they had the croc from the movies and found just a large crocodile. That wasn't as very exciting but they had other exhibitions that were great.

It was good day to act like kids. You know those little domes for kids to go into to look ... yes we did that. They were so small with head bumping and lying on backs to get through the little tunnels. Mikey stamped his sketchbook with little stamps that the kids can get for their kids guide booklets. On our second trip in Mikey got a booklet. Yes we went in another time. He failed at stamping his book ... he pressed it through 2 layers of the booklet which filled the next space :P. But it was all fun mucking around.

With all the new random things it was pretty good. We saw the shark feeding and penguin feeding. Spent almost 5 hours there. It was worth going back because we figured out how to get these fish to spit at a sinker we found on the side of the pond. It was weird because they set up these fake flies on fishing lines and they were too far and small for the fish to see. Also all the kids would just swing the rods on hinge and wouldn't hold them still for the fish to concentrate to spit.

It was a great day at the aquarium. You can find more photos from the day at my Facebook Photos.

Moon Lit Night

Haven't written a blog entry in awhile. I've been playing games so figures but I did end up finishing three games in the last week. Just replaying some parts of the games but pretty bored. Thought I'd do some posting because there's a red moon out at this time from the bushfire smoke. Not that it's out of some dread feeling but just thought it was a change to the usual so I thought I might as well do a little change by writing in my blog XD. The bushfire's getting pretty close so hopefully everyone's safe.

Anyhow I'm going to go through a bit of my week so bear with me.

Last Saturday I had a brood of hatchlings from last last Monday's 'mother' huntsman. I probably would of left them alone if they hadn't built a tangle of webs which I walked into after waking up. Yes baby huntsmans make webs to catch prey not like adult huntsmans. Firstly I didn't realize there was a infestation until later in the day when I continued to have solitary spiders crawling around. There was about thirty plus around my window area where the mother had come in and about a dozen where my light fixture was. Tried a few ways to kill them but was unsuccessful. In the end it came to bug spray. Pretty much killed them all. Also gave me a nice high XD.

Sunday was a bit disappointing seeing how it was like the quad birthday time so we should of had some sort of celebration lunch or something ... Maybe there was something after I left but oh well.

Monday I had to meet with Centrelink person about Working for the Dole so that was a hassle and just means I'm so much a bum now that they're soon going to force me to work.

Tuesday had a friend come over and play games so that wasn't boring. Didn't stay long though. So got pretty bored after.

Wednesday was more of a weird thing happen other than an actual event. It's always weird when people get off at a intersection with me and I wonder where they are going. It's like are they going home, to work, or just shopping. But most of the time they always going off in different directions. Anyways was going to a meeting at church, got off the tram, and four other people also came off. The surprising thing was all five of us made our way in the same direction and side of the road. None of us were going to the same place because it was a residential area and everyone was walking in a single line. So five separate destinations. I was curious to see who was going to break the line first. Unfortunately up the road was my church. So I was first to break off. Dang.

That's probably the last weird thing that happened during my week. Anyways Happy Valentines Day to all of yous. Even if you don't believe in corporate holidays. You know who I'm talking about.

Nothing but Black

Sort of forgot I had a blog till today. Actually only remembered because I wasn't playing games XD. Was because had a blackout. The blackout lasted for about forty five minutes. Thing was it cut out all my gaming consoles so I thought for a bit what I did before without games. And that brings me to blogging. However there was no power so I couldn't do that either ><.

So what to do for an undetermined time ...? It was still a bit hot and my fan tower died with the power so I opened my window which came to be not such a good idea. Thought it was a good idea to have a shower seeing how it was end of day anyways to did that. After that I came back to my room and lay on the bed for awhile. That's when I noticed a shadow behind my curtain. Apparently a huntsman had gotten in and it was pretty big. I have a fly screen cover on my window but its old and huntsman can flatten themselves to slip under ... either that or its been living in my room for awhile which is scary to think about. Took about ten minutes to safely capture it and release it back in the wild. Picture's dark because there was no power or light.

Half an hour had passed and by this time there was no light at all. Someone kept bugging me to post photos but my camera was always out of batteries but luckily by this time I had charged my camera. Had a look through some old photos and got power back eventually.

So that someone that was bugging me to take a photo when I went to the beach can have a look at this photo which was taken the day after at the same beach.

Bich?

I took a break from blogging. Also was out all day with nothing to write anyways. Something did happen yesterday.

It was around six when I had a phone call to go beach. It sounded like a plan because it was a hot day and like I was saying I didn't have much to do. However I was the first one called to go so had to wait to see if anyone else was going. It wasn't until eight when we left and the sun was already going down. Only three of us ended up going in one car. It would have been fine if we went to a close beach but the destination wasn't decided and we eventually ended up at Brighton beach because it was close to where one of us worked. By this time it was eight forty and the sun had just gone over the horizon.
There was still some light so we still went to the beach. It wasn't much of a beach because you could walk like twenty metres out and the water would still be knee deep and also there was no waves. The whole area was filled with people and their dogs which was pretty weird but then again the houses in the area were quite expensive and there was also boats lining the other side where there was a pier so guess they all can afford dogs. So all we ended up doing was walkin up and down the beach on land and water watching the lights and dogs. We spent a hour or so so it wasn't too bad.
After that we had kebabs and ice cream in St Kilda. Ice cream was from Cold Rock which was so worth waiting in a huge line for on such a warm evening. We took a walk up and down St Kilda road and just chatted, even chatted with some random motorcyclist who was walking back to his bike. Had quite a few random conversation topics. We dropped by Sidney Myer Music Bowl for no real reason and just watched the seagulls in the light of the Australia Open at Vodaphone Arena. So a day of weird places but overall fun.

On another note I'm feeling alot better XD.

It's Funny and True

I like webcomics and some are quite funny so I've decided to post some of them. Some might be old and most of them will be about games (figures) so might be hard to understood. The thing is you probably should play the game first to understand the joke but guess this ones still funny.

This comic is from Fable II on Xbox360 (probably released on PC at a later date)

Maybe not a used one but you can find condoms buried around in Fable II ... anyways there's a link to the site below XD. I'll probably post these once in awhile so it eats up blog space XD.

Enjoy.

Meow?

Fine I'm posting something even though I played some games. I got a night full of Dota and Gear of War 2 for a lengthy period this afternoon. So I guess it's because I do have something to blog about even if you think it's crap thing to post about.

Currently I'm going through the last phase of my shedding (hopefully my last) and it's a bitch. Like I know I shouldn't scratch it but it so wants to be scratched. It's like calling out to me and come on I'm not crazy, it's probably just like chickenpox. So I scratched. And then I peel it. And then several seconds later it stings. Oh well. But after all that there's still more to scratch and peel. So a few minutes later my rooms filled with skin flakes (which is a bit gross). Such a mess to clean up and because I'm still peeling a bit I thought I'd give my blog a run through while I take a break. However all this sort of reminds me of how cats shed hair everywhere they go ... actually dogs do that too ... oh well I thought of cat first.

So meow XD.
